Clinical Pathology

  

 

The clinical pathology laboratory provides routine blood analysis for our referring

veterinarian clientele and the veterinarians of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital

in the medical treatment of their patients. 

 

 

Tests offered include complete blood cell count, chemistry analysis, urinalysis, coagulation profiles, crossmatch, endocrine testing, cytologies, and immunocytochemistry. Same-day consultation with veterinary clinical pathologists to discuss cytology and/or laboratory results, is also available.

Our lab is staffed by ASCP certified medical technologists. They provide high quality service and are happy to answer questions.

 

CLINICAL PATHOLOGY SERVICES

The Clinical Pathology Laboratory is a full-service laboratory that provides diagnostic testing to the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital, referring veterinarians, and researchers. We are able to analyze samples from multiple species, including domestic animals (canine, feline, equine, ruminants, etc.), zoo animals, avian and reptiles, and wildlife.

The laboratory is staffed by a full-time pathologist and five full-time medical technologists with over 126 years of combined experience.

Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Saturday 9:00 am - 12:30 pm

After hours testing is available on an emergency basis
