VDL @ VSC Satellite Lab Page in Bannockburn, IL

Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at Veterinary Specialty Center (VDL at VSC), a satellite clinical pathology laboratory available to all veterinarians, is located within Veterinary Specialty Center in Bannockburn, IL. It provides most of the same tests performed in the Urbana clinical pathology laboratory with the same excellent customer service and is overseen by a boarded clinical pathologist.

 

 

ON-SITE SERVICES:

  • Cytology: aspirates, bone marrow, fluid analysis
  • Crossmatch
  • Chemistry: profiles, bile acids, bromide, fructosamine, phenobarbital
  • Hematology: CBC, platelet count, reticulocytes
  • Coagulation: fibrinogen, FDP, PT, PTT
  • Urinalysis

OTHER SERVICES:

  • Coombs
  • Fecal float
  • Urine protein creatinine ratio

These tests forwarded to Urbana laboratory at no additional charge*:

  • Biopsy, Microbiology and Endocrinology

* Tests submitted to, but not performed by, the Urbana VDL will be assessed any additional shipping charges.

 

Laboratory hours at VSC in Bannockburn are:

  • Monday through Friday, 7 a.m.–6 p.m.
  • Saturday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Please Note: We stop accepting samples 1/2 hour prior to closing each day.
