The histology lab has four full-time board certified

histotechnologists, with over 85 years of experience between them. 

We are a full service diagnostic lab which offers basic histologic work, over 60 special stains and 80 immunohistochemistry stains.  We also do work for researchers within and outside the university system.

• Automated H&E stainer with coverslipper

• Processing, embedding and cutting of soft tissues and tissue pellets
• Processing, embedding and cutting of bone samples following decalcification process
• Immunohistochemical stains (oncology markers and infectious disease)
• Special stains
• Other special processes: keratin softening (hooves and nails) and nitric acid (teeth)
