Subject: Fee Increase – July 1, 2025
Dear Valued ILVDL Clients,
At the University of Illinois Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, we are committed to providing accurate, high-quality testing at fair and competitive prices. We strive to maintain stable pricing for our clients whenever possible, however, increases in operational costs have made selective price adjustments necessary.
As of July 1, 2025, fees for a select number of tests have increased due to significant cost escalations in supplies, labor, and testing equipment. The accession fee remains unchanged at $10 per accession. Updated pricing details are available via the Diagnostic Test look-up on our Website.
One of the most significant changes has involved the structure and pricing of our necropsy services. These updates were designed to more accurately reflect the resources required to perform a necropsy, while also better aligning with the level of diagnostic detail and outcomes our clients expect. Details on the new necropsy structure and pricing can be found in our Necropsy Ordering Guide.
These adjustments were necessary to ensure we can continue to deliver the high standard of diagnostic services our clients rely on. We remain dedicated to serving veterinarians, government agencies, and researchers in Illinois and across the country with dependable and affordable diagnostic solutions.
Thank you for your continued trust in the University of Illinois Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. We sincerely appreciate your partnership and support.
